What is this project about?
Project Humankind was an NFT collection built around one idea: "Be human, be kind". We wanted to use the NFT format for something with a genuine social mission — a collection celebrating unity across all backgrounds.
As Tech Lead and Co-founder, I built the generative art engine — a Python script that randomly combined image layers to produce a unique artwork pool. I also led the technical architecture: deploying omnichain smart contracts via LayerZero Protocol, enabling cross-chain compatibility.
Beyond the contracts, I managed a team of 3 developers and 3 graphic artists, coordinating across creative and technical workstreams. We grew a Discord community to over 2,000 members.
Coordinating creative and technical people taught me that 'spec' means something very different to a graphic artist than a developer — interface clarity between disciplines matters as much as technical architecture
Shipping a community product in the NFT space meant managing hype, maintaining trust, and staying grounded in what was actually built
